The Animal Boogie is lively singalong children's book set in the Indian jungle.  It's full of fun surprises and and lots of action.  It features lush vegetation and colorful animals.  Children of various cultures and one in a wheel chair search for different animals in the jungle.  It's a great book to read aloud for a group storytime.  I will keep children engaged by asking questions that promote critical thinking through context clues.  While reading this book to my children, we made various animal sounds and motions.  I also asked about the color of the animals in the book.  The funnest part of The Animal Boogie is the song and CD included at the end of the book.  Watch the story come to life on a computer with animated video or listen to the music in a DVD player or in the car.  You can also watch, sing and dance to Animal Boogie by watching the video on YouTube.  We really enjoyed clapping to the beat and imitating the jungle animals.

Bonus: The Animal Boogie Mini Cube Puzzle is a great addition to the book and was a big hit with my Toddler.  He wanted to put it together again and again!
